It’s the season of love, and who doesn’t love a serving (or two) of delectable sweets? At LDM, we have a few recipes up our sleeve that can make your brand taste a whole lot sweeter. Today we’ll be following one of our favorite recipes — so go ahead and pull out your mixing bowl, we’re about to get started!

Follow our recipe for a delicious social media strategy that’ll keep your followers coming back for seconds:

1. START EMAIL CAMPAIGNS

Now that you’ve got your measuring cups and spoons ready, measure out a hefty cup of research. It’s okay if you add a little extra, research is a vital part of this recipe and will ensure all of your hard work pays off! Researching your target audience helps you tailor your content. When you have a good idea of what your audience is looking for, then you’ll be able to post things that are beneficial to them. Try creating a persona to help you identify important aspects of your target audience, being as specific as possible. Now let’s move on to our second ingredient, we don’t want all this research getting stale!

2. WEBSITE REDESIGN

We hope you keep your jar of scheduling at the front of your cabinet, because you’ll be needing it often! Today we’ll be using two tablespoons of granulated scheduling. Its sweetness will keep you from feeling overwhelmed, giving you plenty of time to plan out upcoming posts. Giving yourself time to work on your content before you have to publish it will improve the quality of your posts. Your social media schedule can include things like what days to post, how frequently to post, and ideal topics to post about. We know it’s tempting to give the batter a taste, but hold tight for the next step!

3. social media strategy & design

A couple drops of goal-setting will help hold the recipe together. Visualizing your overall marketing objectives will inform you on how your social media can support them. Goal-setting can be practiced in several ways, a popular one being SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely). Having each post contain a CTA (call-to-action) can contribute to the effectiveness of your social media posts. Discussing clear goals with your team will keep everyone on the same page. All that’s left now is to mix together your ingredients, place them on a tray, and pop them in the oven! (Note: cooking times may vary depending on social media goals).

It looks like your strategy is ready to take out of the oven. It has that golden-brown color and gooey center, just how we want it! Add your preferred toppings and serve it up as the perfect Valentine’s Day treat.
